Alex L. Klippenstein, B.A. J.D. Articling Student

From Brandon Manitoba, Alex graduated from Canadian Mennonite University in 2014 with a major in philosophy and a minor in psychology and history. In 2019 Alex graduated from Thompson Rivers University Law School in British Columbia.

While at law school Alex participated in Probono Students Canada where he researched the logistics and feasibility of establishing a dedicated mental health court in Kamploops B.C. He also was involved in several oral advocacy groups where he competed with fellow classmates and argued various cases before judges. In the summer of 2018 Alex worked on a class action against the government of Manitoba concerning the flooding of Lake Manitoba in 2011 and at Law School he received the course prize in his Law School’s class actions course.

Outside of his pursuits in law Alex enjoys kayaking at Minnedosa Lake and mountain biking in the Brandon Hills. At this point he is not sure which area of law he would like to practice in but is interested in Family Law, Wills and Criminal Law.
