Breena R. Murray, B.A. LL.B
Born and raised in Brandon, Breena received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 2007. She graduated again from the University of Manitoba in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws degree and received her Call to the Bar in June 2011.
Breena began working at Paterson Patterson Wyman and Abel as an articling student in 2010 and has continued her employment with the firm as an associate after receiving her Call to the Bar.
Breena has a diverse practice, with a focus primarily on Family Law. Breena helps clients resolve their family disputes in the manner that best suit their situation, whether it is through litigation or negotiation. Breena also has experience with domestic adoptions and guardianship proceedings. A large part of her practice also includes child protection work for child welfare Agencies. Breena has argued cases for clients at all levels of Manitoba Courts.
Breena sat on the Board of the Women’s Resource Centre in 2011-2015. She became chair of the Fundraising Committee in 2012 and helped create a new annual fundraiser for the Centre, the Westman Corporate Challenge, which raised over $12,000.00 for the Centre in its inaugural year. Breena was Treasurer of the Centre from 2013-2015.
In her spare time, Breena likes to spend her time camping, hiking, doing yoga, and spending with her husband, Jonathan, their sons, Xander, Logan and Connor, and dog, Lotus.
