COURTNEY A. BUCKMAN

Originally from Winnipeg, Courtney received a Bachelor of Human Ecology degree with a major in Family Violence and Child and Adolescent Development from the University of Manitoba in 2013. Following this undergraduate degree Courtney completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Manitoba in 2016. While attending law school Courtney volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, A Woman’s Place and several charitable community organizations.

In the spring of 2016 Courtney began her career in law at with Patersons LLP as an Articling Student going on to receive her call to the Manitoba bar on June 13, 2017. Courtney is a current member of the Manitoba and Canadian Bar Association and is interested in a general practice of law which includes family, child protection, real estate, wills, and succession planning.

Since beginning her career at Patersons LLP, Courtney’s life has been nothing if not eventful. She married her long-term boyfriend Ethan, they built their dream home and went on to welcome their two children into their family Sloan and Jasper. Their house already full of life with their two dogs, Zeus, a German Shorthaired Pointer and Calli, a Brittany Spaniel, they feel Sloan and Jasper have been the missing pieces to their family and couldn’t be happier.

Some of Courtney’s favorite activities include spending time with her friends, finding new boardgames to play, cross-country skiing, kick sledding and visiting her parents acreage where she can go exploring with her sons.
